Creating Hope in the World!
Last Tuesday 4th July Members welcomed President Mike Alison to his first meeting for the new Rotary year, with the theme Create Hope in the World.
Mike conveyed his appreciation of his appointment by the Club and expressed the wish for us to enjoy a year of fun, fellowship and service together.

Membership
Dave Birch had us exploring our reasons for joining Rotary. His goals for the Committee include the induction of eight new members.
Foundation & World Community Service
Along with the on-going pattern of international aid and development, including ERKs and Polio, Bill Strand is looking at the introduction of a mobile dental caravan into Samoa.
Youth
John Hawke’s list of projects for the year encompasses REP at Aorere College; selecting candidates for the National Science School, RYLA and RYPEN, the Spirit of Adventure and Outward Bound; MUNA and RYDA; supporting Boyne with the Walsh Flying School, and support for Epsom Lodge.
Environment & Community Service
Boyne Drummond and David Bradshaw spoke to some of the work which would be undertaken by the Committee including support for the Kindness Collective, Epsom Lodge Breakfasts, Trees for Survival and the Salvation Army. Boyne detailed the Anniversary Award and the Schools Beehive project.
David B was also involved in other Environmental projects as Chair of the District Environmental Committee.
