Breaking Barriers Disability Day
Oct 14, 2023 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Last October 2022, our District Youth Team ran the first “Breaking Barriers” Disability Day. The participants came from various schools and organisations throughout Auckland. The mentors and leaders for the Disability Day were our young RYLArians. It was a good opportunity for them to give back to the community and keeping these young people engaged with Rotary in a different way.

This year, we will be running the event on Saturday, 14 October 2023 from 10am to 5pm. We will be at Glen Taylor School with wheelchair access and a secured field.

The participants will be invited from the physically disabled community at the upcoming “Disability Connect Transition Expo” on 6 September 2023 at Auckland Netball Centre, St Johns where Rotary District Youth Team will be present throughout the day as part of the local community.

We are anticipating 25 participants and an equal number of leaders as the ratio of 1:1 will be maintained as per last year’s Day. We are seeking sponsorship of $75 per participant from each club.

Your support is greatly appreciated and if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. If you would like to help, we would be grateful for any assistance leading up to the day and on the day itself.

Remember, everyone is welcome to join us and connect with the RYLArians on the day, 14 Oct 2023.

This is a Rotaract Project.

RYLA Masquerade Charity Ball
Nov 03, 2023 7:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Buy tickets to the RYLA Masquerade Charity Ball here

No description available. With the arrival of Spring, we hope this email finds you excited and energised for the rest of the year ahead.

We are pleased to invite you to the RYLA Masquerade Charity Ball at the Oak Room, Auckland, to be hosted on Friday 3 November 2023.

We encourage you and your fellow Rotarians to join in this evening of reminiscing, reconnecting, and building relationships across Rylarians and Rotarians. You can look forward to dining and drinks, dress-up and dancing - all while continuing to support Rotary and the positive impact they make across New Zealand and the world.

Non-RYLA or Rotary partners and friends are also welcome, but the ticket numbers are limited (due to venue size) and this is being advertised to RYLA Alumni and Auckland Rotary clubs as priority, on a first-in, first-served basis. If you are interested, we encourage you to purchase your ticket as soon as possible!

The link to purchase tickets is here - there is a discount for group bookings so we suggest you gather up your fellow Rotarians and book together!
