Club News and Notices

It is Fijian Language Week at Aorere and the REP volunteers were encouraged to dress up accordingly.

The programme is getting some good feedback from the teachers.
One of the REP student’s teachers even made a point of telling us that the student’s confidence has improved markedly as a result of the programme. The student now answers questions in class when previously she was very quiet.

Kalle - In His Own Words

Hello everyone! I'm Kalle, 16-year-old and an exchange student from Essen, Germany.
Football has always been a passion, not just as a player but also as a trainer. For the past year, I've been coaching football for a team of seven-year-olds in Germany, which has taught me a lot about teamwork, leadership, and the importance of hard work. Apart from football, I like playing chess because it challenges my mind and I just love the complexity of some moves and positions. Since my brother got me into the gym I go regularly to stay fit and healthy.
Language is another area where I’ve put in some effort. I’m fluent in German and English, and I can speak a bit of Spanish and I have learned Latin as well. I have learned these languages because it's fun and useful, especially as an exchange student. Being an exchange student has been an exciting opportunity for me. I like exploring new cultures, learn new things, and grow both personally and academically.
