Rotary International is considering a project in our region (Zone 8 including Australia, New Zealand, and Pacific Island countries) to address membership, public image, communication, leadership, and fundraising challenges to help define a more sustainable future for Rotary.

Please read the Fact Sheet which provides more explanation.  Further information is available at creatingtomorrowrotary.org

For the pilot to proceed 75% of the clubs in our zone need to vote in favour.  This vote is to be taken in September so there is a degree of urgency required.  Each club has one vote.
Necessarily each club needs to decide what to vote.  For most clubs this will be by a majority, depending on the constitution of the club.  It is suggested that a special meeting is called in accordance with club rules and the Incorporated Societies legislation.

This is a great opportunity to refresh the way Rotary operates.  As Paul Harris famously said “This is a changing world: we must be prepared to change with it.  The story of Rotary will have to be re-written again and again.”

If you have questions please contact me in the first place.  If I can’t help I will pass the questions on to the local regionalisation representatives for answers.
