CHANGEOVER!
Last Tuesday was a fun evening for us all – told better in the Photos than in words.
2022/2023
Changeover commenced with a slide presentation and Outgoing President Dave Burch highlighting many of the achievements of the Club over the previous year, including but by no means limited to: the MAPAS initiative for Maori & Pacific Island medical students, the Garden Design Fest, RYLA [currently in residence at Willow Park, Eastern Beach], REP mentoring at Aorere College, food packing for the Salvation Army and the community, Epsom Lodge breakfasts, the Taveuni Eye Project and many more. He highlighted four memorable meetings he had particularly enjoyed during the year.
Paul Harris Fellow
President Dave then presented a very well-deserved Paul Harris Fellow to President Nominee John Hawke. John had provided superb support throughout the year in the administration of the Club and was enthusiastically involved in many of the Club’s activities.
Changeover
President Dave then handed the chains of office to incoming President Mike Alison. Dave expressed his warm appreciation of his 2022/2023 Board, and the help and encouragement he had received throughout the year from the Club. He paid special tribute to his wife Rob for her on-going support.
2023/2024
Following the traditional exchange of gifts, President Mike introduced his Board and outlined some of his plans for the coming year.
