Ariana Andrews
Ariana was our guest speaker at our 6 August meeting. She is a RYLARIAN and a member of our club. She is also a member of the Auckland City Rotoract Club.
Arianas presentation was about Building Positive Peace. She is based at Auckland University studying for the degree Master of Public Health
She updated us on ther Rotaract Oceana MDIO. She also Recently attended IEP ( International Economics on Peace )

Themes she took from the conferences are as follows;
- Negative Peace is absence of War & Violence . Positive Peace discovers Peace
- Rotary Partnership with IEP Approach is important to make a better world
- There are Rotary influences that can create Peace in our communities
- Small actions can have s big input
- Projects can be shared to work together to build positive communities
- Discussion was based on Oceana area and not the areas of conflict in Europe
