Roger Partridge is Chairman of The New Zealand Initiative - a leading NZ “think tank”. Roger will couple his groups critical thinking with a lawyers natural gift of persuasive speech to ensure yet another informative and entertaining night. His address entitled “An optimistic view of 2023 – and a warning” hints at some controversial predictions. Be sure to not miss this evening meeting. |

Sarah Page is founder of the Kindness Collective which is a more recent addition to the NZ charity sector - but WOW what an impact they have had in a little time. This year Kindness Collective was the winner of the "Community" section of the Kiwibank New Zealander of the Year awards. Hear exactly how such a "matching" charity has grown so quickly to make such a great impact. |

Epsom Candidate Debate and Charity Fundraiser!
Election 2023 is just around the corner and Newmarket Rotary is hosting the Epsom Candidate Debate and Charity Fundraiser!
If you live or work in Newmarket and the surrounding areas, then this is the election event for you!
Hear directly from the leading five candidates running for the seat of Epsom, while broadcaster Timothy Giles will hold their feet to the fire and ask them why they are the candidate you should vote for.
But wait, there's more! In the spirit of service, the event is also a fundraiser with a fun action on the night!
All our candidates are graciously donating an item to be auctioned, so if you've ever wanted your own political memorabilia with a great back story, now is your chance! Everything raised after costs - from both the tickets and auction - will be donated to the amazing charity, the Kindness Collective.
Your $49 ticket includes entry to the debate, nibbles through out the night, and a raffle ticket to be in win a $500.00 Newmarket Business Association voucher! A cash bar will be available on the night.
Limited number of tickets available, which must be purchased through Eventbrite: https://www.
And if you can't attend, but you would like to support, you can always pay for a ticket that we can donate forward to someone else!
Get your ticket now, and join us for a fun, insightful, entertaining evening!

At its heart, For The Love Of Bees’ purpose is to transform food systems for equitable good. We teach regenerative organic horticulture to inspire change, and model this at our urban farm on Symonds Street. We provide ongoing mentoring to the 149 people who have so far completed our five-day Earthworkers course.
We believe that people have the power to address some of the most pressing challenges we face. The threat of climate change, food security, health inequity, and ecosystem damage can be tackled with restorative horticultural practices that are better for both people and the planet. We grow – and help others grow – radical hope through food. Our website has further info, www.fortheloveofbees.co.nz.
We also invite small groups to the farm as a Team Experience, for a fee. And we're looking for corporate sponsors who align with our work and want to support us.
We're hoping to start a larger farm out in Henderson.

The visit to the University of Auckland's Faculty of Medical & Health Sciences, Park Road, Grafton is one of our most popular events. The evening is a celebration of our partnership with the Faculty of Medical & Health Sciences and recognition of the difference Rotary Newmarket's Awards have made to various individuals in their careers . The University is hosting us for drinks & nibbles at 5-30pm followed by talks by our Ross Craig Oncology Awardees as well as a lab tour by Professor Cris Print. Venue is the Mannaakitia Room, Ground Floor, University of Auckland Medical School. There is no cost for members to attend. Parking will be available for those who register in the Medical School's underground park off Boyle Crescent. Please register now as numbers are limited and we need to advise the University for catering.
