This year’s winner of the 75th Anniversary Hauraki Gulf Environment Award is Katherine Lockton.
Katherine is researching “milky white flesh syndrome” which in recent years has become a very
Concerning issue in the Hauraki Gulf snapper population. It is a very good opportunity for the club to support this important work
Also we will be welcoming back previous awardees Sophie Roberts and Hayley Alena who will update us on progress with their projects.
We will also be welcoming Kate Thompson, Development Manager, Faculty of Science who will give an overview of the
Range of awards that RCON has with the University.
Promises to be a very interesting and busy evening.
